Why blog?

So, I was raised in Texas and have spent the majority of my life in the south. I love all things southern; the word y'all, sunshine, magnolia trees, and hot days and nights. However, life has taken me to Ohio and I am settling in for my first week here. I have heard all my life that people in the North are not as friendly and I am pleased to say that I have not found that to be the case. I have met some very friendly people in the few days that I have been here. But things are different. I thought it might be interesting to keep track of what I learn being a transplanted Southerner.
